Mrs. Bohnenstiehl's
Rules, Policies, and Procedures

Rule #1: Follow instructions !
Be where you are supposed to be.
Do what you are supposed to be doing so others follow your GOOD example.

Rule #2: Treat others as you want them to treat you!
Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Blowing or screaming near a person's ear are examples of unsafe behaviors.  Dangerous behavior is not allowed.
Noise-making and spinning or any other kind of interruption is unacceptable to the learning environment.

Policy #1: To allow for safe participation in p.e., proper tennis shoes must be worn.
Please keep it simple!! Proper shoes do not have a heel. They fasten (with velcro straps, zippers, elastic, or shoe laces). When parents tell children to wear a different set of shoes, like snow boots on a snowy day, the children are instructed to do what the parents say AND to bring a pair of tennis shoes to school with them in their backpack or bookbag or plastic bag, paper sack, whatever.

If a child forgets his/her proper shoes three times, on the third time, the child will write sentences. The sentences may be sent home to be signed by parents. This procedure is intended to help the memory of the student and/or to solicit assistance from the parents.

Policy 2: Permission will be needed to leave class, to leave the room, to get a drink.
Note: Generally, recesses are for getting drinks or going to the restroom. Since I only see you once a week for 25 to 40 minutes, it would help if you would not plan on leaving class. Also, when permission is given for getting a drink or going to the restroom, only one person at a time may go.

Policy 3: In case of a health condition requiring non-participation, a parental note is required. To be excused after the second week with a parental note, a doctor's note is needed.

Procedure #1: Come in and sit in your squad. After roll is taken, be attentive during instruction.

Procedure #2: If someone should get hurt without
the teacher seeing it, do not panic; inform the teacher."

Procedure #3: During a disaster drill or a disaster, do not panic, do not run; line up and be especially quiet.
