STUDENT SURVEY SUMMARY MAY 2006
The surveys were passed out by the teacher and completed by the students during class. Younger children had the survey items read to them. At least 75% of the students turned in the survey; the other 25% were absent that day. The survey indicated strengths in the areas of students’ and teachers’ pride in the school, their principal and teachers caring about them, teachers’ high expectations of all students, and that everyone works together to make our school a better place. There was an indication of weakness in the areas of students being friendly to others, behavior of some students preventing others from doing their best work, and reading at home almost every night. A number of students responded that they liked the behavior reward program (Regal Eagles). Many of the comments showed that the principal, teachers and school were well-liked.
