Dear Sisters,

Thank you for sending me your chapter yearbook earlier this year. It's always fun to see how different chapters put their yearbooks together & the programs that they plan, but it does take quite a while to read them all. I am so pleased to see that you make CPDUs available for your programs. Having quality programs & also offering credits surely helps to attract & retain members. Your chapter has one of the more unusual schedules that I've seen, & I found myself studying it because it was unique. You seem to have quite a number of meetings with Executive Board meetings, chapter meetings, & book discussions. You must be doing something right if  you can get busy women to attend all those opportunities!  The programs listed that intrigued me most were the computer hints/shortcuts, the program for teachers with non-English-speaking students, & the fashions with the Downstaters. What a nice variety these represent! I do have one suggestion: that you put the international theme in your yearbook & tie it to your programs along with the purposes which you already have. I find that members have problems remembering the international program theme & the Lambda State biennial theme; I think that we can use all the help possible. Speaking of computer shortcuts, you might suggest that your yearbook editor change the letters DKG to the Greek letters by simply typing them, highlighting them, & then changing to the Symbol font. It's that easy.

Please share with your chapter members my appreciation for their work & the yearbook. Have a great March meeting. I hope to see many of you at convention next month.

Sincerely,

Barbara Bergdolt

Lambda State Program Chair
