Student Survey Summary – May 2006

Student surveys were distributed individually to each student in each class.  94% of the student’s turned in the surveys.  Ninety-seven percent of the students are proud of Hollywood Heights School with 99% of them indicating their teachers care about them and expect them to do their best work.  On the other hand, 59% of the students believe that the behavior of other students in the class keep them from doing their best, only 77% read silently or aloud at school everyday, and 77% of the students believe their parents are actively involved at school.   Academically, 97% of the students felt they learned something in Music and Math with only 84% feeling they learned something in English.  The most noteworthy comment was that students do like coming to Hollywood Heights School.    The major theme of the comments was that students like the teachers and the environment at Hollywood Heights School.
