Same calculators will be needed for eighth grade. These can be purchased at Walmart or Target and run about $15. We will also have them for sale during school registration in August.

                                You should ALWAYS BRING a pencil in class!!!

Supplies for math: binder, perforated notebook, mechanical pencil (highly suggested and with refills), TI-30XII calculator

Integer Rules  
Addition and Subtraction Multiplication and Division
**Same signs you add **Same signs is positive
**Different signs you subtract **Different signs is negative

When subtracting integers following same rules for adding (above). Only difference is when you have a minus and negative that are together, you need to change to a plus and then follow rules. Ex  -5 - (-3) should change to -5 + 3. These are different signs, so you would subtract 5-3 which is 2 and 5 (without looking at positive or negative) is bigger and is a negative, so the answer is -2.
