100th Day of School Projects:
What is my child expected to do for their project?
I would begin with an
internet search based on the year. For example: In a search engine type "1909
events" or "1909 Historical Events" or "1909 famous people". See
what is found that your child finds interesting. Once the topic is selected they will need
to write a five sentence paragraph. A visual prop is the final part of the project. This
is where the creativity comes alive.
Examples:
A student wrote on report on the first
New Year's Eve ball being dropped in NY, so she made a big New Year's Eve ball.
Another student wrote a report on his
Great, Great Grandma that was born that year. He wrote a report about her life and brought
in photos and her reading glasses.
A student wrote a report about the
president and dressed up like him as his visual.
Just remember to have it based on the year 100 years ago!
