| Welcome to the High School of Champions! Collinsville High School is a
four-year comprehensive public high school serving the secondary educational
needs of the Collinsville Community Unit School District #10.

CHS offers a rigorous
curriculum to prepare students for post-secondary education as well as the
work force. Co-curricular activities (sanctioned by the Illinois High
School Association) provide students with opportunities to participate in a
variety of sports, student organizations, conferences, conventions, contests
and tournaments.

Collinsville
High School colors are purple and white; "Indian Trail" is the official
song; the mascot is an Indian chief and the campus is known as "The Home of
the Kahoks."

14 CHS art students were given monetary
awards at the
Collinsville Women's
Club meeting May 5th at the Collinsville Library. The awarded categories
included Intro. to art, drawing, painting, pastel
drawing and photography.
Collinsville High School juniors began
their day on Wednesday, April 22, with breakfast and well wishes from
faculty and staff at the school. Annual state testing ("Prairie State Test"
and ACT) of juniors is scheduled for April 22 and April 23 across Illinois.

On April 3, Collinsville High School hosted
its annual "Student
Council Senior Citizens Prom." Members of the CHS StudentCouncil
provided dinner and dancing to a group of approximately 150 Collinsville
area seniors.
The Life Skills classes of
CHS and DIS, headed by Susie Stranz
and Sarah Prott, experienced their 5th Mentoring Trip with a Collinsville
History Tour Day. The tour included the Cahokia Mounds, a visit to the
Council Chambers to meet Mayor Miller, a visit to the Collinsville Township
Offices, finishing with a photo in front of the famous ketchup bottle.
