Junior Honor Society

The Junior Honor Society works hard to bring the accomplishments of outstanding young people to the attention of our learning community. We strive to give practical meaning to the ideas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Selection criteria includes scholarship (3.5 grade point average or higher), leadership (how students demonstrate being a leader), service (how they volunteer), and character (how they present themselves).

The students do a lot of different service projects for a Collinsville Nursing Home, their teachers, and veterans. Examples: decorated small pumpkins, made cards for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day. They gave the residents of a Collinsville Nursing Home Christmas gifts. Before school, they baked goodies for their teachers.
